Oxfam Timor Leste program is seeking national staff for 2 (two) Position:

1.    Deputy program manager-Agribusiness Lead

2.     Agriculture Officer

Key Selection Criteria

1.     Deputy program manager-Agribusiness lead

 

The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) – Agribusiness Lead will lead the achievement of the project’s agricultural production, agro-industry and marketing outputs, principally through leading the project’s capacity building strategy with local partners, staff and beneficiaries in these areas, overseeing efforts that lead to increased and improved linkages between small farmers, civil society organisations, government and the private sector. The DPM – Agribusiness Lead will support the Haforsa Project Manager in his coordination and representation role, particularly concerning relations with the private sector and government extension personnel.

 

·         At least 5-7 years experience in implementing or supporting partner to implement marketing and agricultural productivity improvement programs;

·         Experience in small to medium scale agro-enterprise management

·         Experience and knowledge of supporting women and men farmers to increase production and in post harvest improvements for the following crops would be advantageous: candlenut, mungbeans, red beans, onions, peanuts.

·         Knowledge of program planning including gender awareness and analysis;

·         Experience supporting and monitoring partners;

·         Experience in working in teams and in the effective delivery of project activities;

·         Desirable: Master’s degree in agricultural economics, marketing or business administration, or related field

 

 

2.    Agriculture Officer

 

The Agriculture Officer will support the achievement of the program’s agricultural production, agro-industry and marketing outputs, principally through leading the project’s capacity building strategy with partner staff and beneficiaries agricultural productivity; overseeing efforts that lead to increased quantity and quality of agricultural production, at realistic scale for program beneficiaries.

·          At least 3 years experience in implementing or supporting partner to implement agricultural productivity improvement programs;

·         Experience and knowledge of supporting farmers to increase production and in post harvest improvements for the following crops would be advantageous: vegetables, candlenut, mungbeans, red beans, onions, peanuts.

·         Knowledge of program planning including gender awareness;

·         Experience supporting and monitoring partners;

·         Bachelor degree in agriculture, or related field
