The Government of Australia (GoA) is assisting the Government of Timor-Leste (GoTL) to implement PNDS through the PNDS Support Program Phase II (PSP-II) managed by Cardno Emerging Markets.

The PNDS Support Program currently has a vacancy for the position of Activities Coordinator.

Objectives

The objective of this role is to take a lead role in co-ordinating activity implementation support for the PNDS Secretariat and the PNDS-SP technical advisory team.

 

Key activities

  • Support the operationalization of broader activities outlined in the technical assistance team’s advisor workplans, including the coordination of all activity requests
  • Lead the planning and facilitation of study tours and municipal visits, in co-ordination with the logistics team
  • Lead the co-ordination of logistical support for events, meetings, trainings and other activities to be undertaken by the support program
  • Manage the activity tracker tool to communicate activity progress between the operations team and advisors, including managing timeframes across each step of the activity management process
  • Support the budget process with costing support and participation in monthly budget monitoring
  • Work closely with the logistics team on procurement activities, and facilitating clear communications between the procurement and implementation staff

§  Build skills and capacity of PNDS Secretariat ICT Officers to manage the systems and infra-structure independently

§  Lead the PNDS-SP ICT/MIS technical support to the PNDS Secretariat and Support Program office

Objectives

  • The objective of this role is to assist with the day-to-day operations of PNDS-SP by driving and caring for program vehicles, and undertaking additional logistical and administrative tasks.

Key activities

  • Transport program staff, goods, parcels and documents in and around Timor-Leste as requested
  • Assist the Senior Logistics Officers in the care and maintenance of vehicles, including but not limited to vehicle refuelling, cleaning, inspection and general repairs and maintenance
  • Operate program vehicles and travel in accordance with Cardno policies and with safety paramount in all travel
  • Assist field staff when in the field with program activities as requested
  • Assist with general office administration tasks
  • Carry out other duties as requested
  • Maintain an ongoing vehicle log book for the trips, daily mileage
  • Provide periodic vehicle inspection
  • Design regular Journey Management Plans when travelling in the field
