Senior Translator

The Program

Coffey’s TLPDP Advisory Services team support the Australian Federal Police and work collaboratively with Policia Nacional De Timor-Leste (PNTL), civil society representatives and other stakeholders to support the achievement of program objectives.

Coffey, as the managing contractor for TLPDP, is currently seeking applications for a Senior Translator.

The Position

Coffey is currently seeking a highly experienced Translator/Interpreter for its TLPDP Advisory Services Team.

As the Senior Translator you will play a key role on the program collaborating closely and co-operatively with TLPDP Advisers to accurately translate program and legal documents to/from Tetun or Portuguese and provide interpretation services as required.

The Person
To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate a reliable and professional approach to work and demonstrate five or more years of relevant administrative/management experience in government or equivalent organisation. You will be required to interpret accurately at high level meetings. To do this, we are seeking an experience translator with a high level of written and oral English, Tetun and Portuguese languages and experience in translating (both verbally and in writing) between these three languages.
