The Program
Coffey’s TLPDP Advisory Services team support the Australian Federal Police and work collaboratively with Policia Nacional De Timor-Leste (PNTL), civil society representatives and other stakeholders to support the achievement of program objectives.

The Position
Coffey is currently seeking a highly experienced Translator/Interpreter for its TLPDP Advisory Services Team. As the Senior Translator you will play a key role on the program in accurately translating large volumes of nationally and internationally accredited English training/ curriculum and other program documents to Tetun or Portuguese and provide interpretation services as required in a range of settings including meetings and workshops.

The Person
To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate a reliable and professional approach to work and demonstrate the following criteria:

·         5+ years of relevant administrative/management experience in government or equivalent organisation.

·         High level of written and oral English, Tetun and Portuguese languages.

·         Experience in translating verbally and in writing between English, Tetun and Portuguese languages.

·         Ability to interpret accurately at high level meetings.
