1.    Sustainability Officer (2 positions – 1 based in Aileu and 1 based in Lautem)

Responsibilities will include:

·         Establish and train water user groups in each village and develop action plans;

·         Facilitate Community Action Planning process through Departementu Abastementu de Agua (DAA) and local partners in each village water supply intervention;

·         Ensure that all GMFs are registered with DAA  in district; 

·         Advise, together with Partner, on GMF roles and responsibilities with clear management structure, including water user fees collection and use;

·         Assist  Partner Sustainability Officer  to identify and develop proposals for small scale water system repairs with GMFs and in close coordination with DAA in district.

Skills, qualifications, experience

·         Excellent communication, monitoring and reporting skills;

·         Excellent community facilitation skills;

·         Experience in rural WASH sector in Timor Leste;

·         Understanding of water supply sustainability issues in rural Timor Leste context;

·         Computer literate, especially with Word and Excel;

·         Spoken English, Tetun and Bahasa.


2.    Sanitation and Hygiene Coordinator (1 position based in Lautem)

Responsibilities will include:

·         Design sanitation and hygiene promotion trainings and develop training materials with  partner  and community health volunteer;

·         Train CLTS facilitators to fully carry out CLTS triggering and post-triggering processes in communities;

·         Support hygiene promotion campaigns and messages through video production, local radio and television, news papers ,talk shows, etc., especially in conjunction with Global Handwashing Day and World Water Day;

·         Develop  district Behavior Change Communication (BCC) strategy on CLTS approach together with local authorities, partners and private sector as necessary to ensure ODF.

Skills, qualifications, experience

·         Excellent coordination and networking skills involving local authorities, communities, partners and private sector;

·         Extensive knowledge or CLTS and hygiene promotion methodologies (i.e. Child-to-Child) implemented in Timor Leste context;

·         Experience with Behavior Change Communication (BCC) for Hygiene and Sanitation Community and Schools;

·         Familiarity with social marketing an advantage;

·         Experience in rural WASH sector in Timor Leste;

·         Excellent communication and facilitation skills;

·         Computer literate, especially with Word and Excel;

·         Spoken English (preferred), Tetun and Bahasa.  Fataloku an advantage.

I found the job vacancy is very fit for me to feel up the space you are needing, I have relevant experience on the opportunity because I used to work with Minister of Education in terms of providing training for thirteen districts consultants through workshop at Salegian Becora College for one month. The realization of this workshop is to tall about life improvement, water, sanitation, and hygiene, food feeding, based on the contract I focus on worked as direct translation and document translation.
