Positions available in World Vision Timor-Leste are advertised on this site. Currently there are three job vacancies in Bobonaro district and two in Baucau district.

TECHNICAL FACILITATORS, BACC AND BFSED – BOBONARO (2 POSITIONS)

Purpose of positions
The purpose of these technical facilitator positions is to ensure that the Bobonaro Acts Against Climate Change (BACC) project and the Bobonaro Food Security and Economic Development (BFSED) project are implemented, monitored and evaluated effectively, and are technically sound, based on the project design and budget.

  • Program Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME)
  • General Responsibilities.

Required knowledge, skills, abilities

  • University degree in a relevant technical field (eg, development, agriculture)
  • Good presentation and communication skills for a number of different audiences
  • Proven time management and organisational skills
  • Literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Fluent in Indonesian and Tetun, and preferably in the local dialect in area where you are serving
  • Ability to ride a motorbike and have the license or willingness to learn this
  • A minimum two years of appropriate professional experience
  • Be willing to work in a team environment, collaborate with staff in other district offices, and travel and stay overnight at project sites (about 75% of the time).

LOGISTICS ASSISTANT – BOBONARO (1 POSITION)

Purpose of position
To assist in the management and oversight of logistics for the Bobonaro Area Program.

Role dimension
Tasks include

  • Logistics services to support all staff to perform their duties.
  • Assets/warehouse, including receiving/arranging warehousing, checking, recording and following up, where necessary, all goods purchased; and managing tracking of WVTL assets register and inventories.
  • Vehicle care, maintenance and coordination.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Major challenges include working as part of a team, including collaboration with the National Office, and engaging in continuous professional development and actively seeking to continuously improve business processes and outcomes.

Essential knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Minimum senior high school.
  • Effective computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Internet, and various software applications and databases.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • The ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.

MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH (MCH) COORDINATOR – BAUCAU (1 POSITION)

Purpose of position
Under the direction of the Area Manager, ensure that the project is implemented effectively, based on the project design and budget.

Major responsibilities

  • Prepare annual detailed implementation Plan (DIP) based on the approved project design.
  • Together with Project Facilitator actively dealing with district health office to strengthen government support and ownership to the project activities.
  • Provide organizational and technical support to MCH project facilitator to be able to organize PSF and community leaders in facilitating SISCa and other project activities.
  • Ensure correct performance of the ante and post natal care services and recording by PSF and clinic health staff.
  • Assist Project and M&E coordinators and sector manager in conducting midterm and final evaluation of the project
  • Prepare monthly, semiannual and annual reports and submit them to Area Manager
  • Prepare annual budgets with the support of the Area Manager.
  • Supervise, train and coach project facilitator and provide timely support.
  • Implement and manage the Performance Development Management (PDM) Systems.

MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH (MCH) TECHNICAL FACILITATOR – BAUCAU (1 POSITION)

Purpose of position
Under the direction of the Area Manager, ensure that the project is implemented effectively, based on the project design and budget.

Major responsibilities

  • Assist Project Coordinator in the preparation of annual detailed implementation Plan (DIP) based on the approved project design.
  • Together with PSF and Clinic Health Center staff and in coordination with the Project Coordinator and community leaders mobilize community for organizing MCH events in the scope of the project.
  • Provide technical support to PSF and Clinic health staff for them to organize monthly SISCA sessions and outreach activity..
  • With support from the Project Coordinator prepare health education materials and conduct training for PSF, clinic health staff,  community members (pregnant and lactating mothers), local leaders and volunteers
  • Supervise activities conducted by the Family Health Promoters (PSF) and clinic health staff in the project area and provide guidance for improving quality of their work.
  • Assist Project and M&E coordinators in developing and revising project’s M&E framework, tools, indicator tracking table project  and data collection tools
  • Submit monthly report to the Project Coordinator
  • Request and reconcile advances for the project implementation in timely fashion and in accordance with WVTL internal regulations
  • Participate in the Performance Development Management (PDM) Systems

These MCH positions require:

  • Tertiary education in relevant field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Good presentation and communication skills for a number of different audiences
  • English language skills (can read and understand English)
  • Competence in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A driving license may be required (at least for motorcycle)
  • Experience facilitating development projects and/or working with community members.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in related field
  • Proven project management skills
  • Proven time management and organisational skills
  • Proven leadership ability and experience as a team player
  • Be willing to work in a team environment, collaborate with staff in other district offices, and travel and stay overnight at project sites (about 50% of the time).
