The Programa Nasional Dezenvolvimentu Suku (PNDS), or National Program for Village Development, is a new, nation-wide community development program of the Government of Timor-Leste. Launched in June 2012 and valued at $300 million over eight years from 2014, it will contribute to rural development by funding the ‘missing link’ to services – basic village infrastructure – and provide jobs and training.
The Government will provide each village with an annual grant of around US$50,000 to plan, construct and manage their own small scale infrastructure projects.
The Government of Australia is assisting the Government of Timor-Leste to implement PNDS through the PNDS Support Program managed by Cardno Emerging Markets.
We currently have vacancy for up to three ITC Officers.
The key responsibilities of the ITC Officers are to:
- Provide support and assistance to the PNDS Secretariat IT staff in the development and management of information systems and information management practices.
- Support the creation and continual improvement of IT procedures, including client support; troubleshooting of network; preparation of manuals; and documenting best practice, configurations, software and hardware.
- Support capacity development and training activities for PNDS IT staff and users.

Salary range US$970 – 1,200
To be contracted by Cardno to 7 August 2014, with the possibility of continuation beyond this date.
